Early Childhood Development

Return to Early Years….

The Early Childhood Development section provides a snapshot of how Australia’s children are developing.

Some of this information is provided by the AEDC – the Australian Early Development Census, which is an Australian Government initiative to measure early childhood development by creating a snapshot of children across the country in their first year of formal schooling. The census was taken first in 2009 and is repeated every three years.

Further down the page you will find a number of fact sheets pertaining to the single intake policy for schools and preschools which was implemented in SA in 2013.
