International Education Advisory Board

Representative: David Knuckey

The International Education Advisory Board (IEA Board) was established by the International Education section of DECS to advise on and support the continued development and expansion of international education in DECS schools.

Roles of the IEA board include ensuring the international program meets legal requirements, maintaining quality assurance, developing and administering overseas travel polices, monitoring numbers of international students in government schools, managing home stay and other accommodation options, and supporting schools to manage and meet the needs of international students.

The Board is currently in hiatus and its future is unclear.
