School Loans Advisory Committee

Representative: Rob Bryson

This is a Ministerial Committee that reviews applications from State schools for construction of multi-purpose halls, gyms, etc, and recommends loans to the Minister for Education.

The Committee consists of DECS staff, State Treasury and other nominees. SAASSO has one representative on the Committee who is appointed by the Minister for a period of 2 years.

The Committee usually meets once per term during the school year, but if no activity is on the books, this may be deferred and meetings are then on an ‘as-needs’ basis.

As a ministerial appointment, dealing with confidential school information, SAASSO is unable to publish reports on the activities of the committee.
