As part of the Rudd Government’s ‘Building the Education Revolution’, there are three established key elements:
• The ‘National School Pride’ program
• The ‘Primary Schools for the 21st Century’ program
• The ‘Science and Language Centres for the 21st Century’ program.
All rounds of the BER program have now been announced.
The estimated total of $14.7 billion in funding exceeded to a total of $16.2 billion.
The $1.3 billion ‘National School Pride Program’, aims to refurbish and renew existing infrastructure, and build minor infrastructure in Australia’s schools.

The $14.1 billion ‘Primary Schools for the 21st Century’ (P21) program gives primary schools across Australia the chance to receive funding to assist with major infrastructure.

The $810 million Science and Language Centres for 21st Century Secondary Schools (SLC) program aims to build new (or refurbish existing) science laboratories and language learning centres in secondary schools.
