On February 3, 2009, The Rudd Government handed down a mini-budget; A financial stimulus package designed to combat the effects of the global financial crisis. A key component of the package is over $15 billion in school project funding. Several specific 'funds' are available for:

       - Primary Schools 
       - Secondary Schools 
       - Special Schools
       - K-12 Schools 
       - Trade Training Centres in schools.
